How to Merge PDF Files
Merging PDFs combines pages from two or more PDF files into one output document. It is useful for assembling reports, applications, statements or scanned sections, but it does not certify or validate the contents.
Plan the output first
Decide which files belong in the result and the required sequence. Rename working copies clearly if the original filenames are ambiguous. Remove files that contain unrelated or sensitive pages before merging.
Basic workflow
- Open the Merge PDF tool.
- Select the PDF files to combine.
- Arrange them in the required order.
- Run the merge and download the new PDF.
- Open the result and verify every page, orientation and boundary.
The tool appends each selected document in the chosen file order. If individual pages need to be removed or extracted first, use the Split PDF tool. If the source material consists of images, the JPG to PDF tool may be more appropriate.
Privacy and file handling
The current implementation reads and combines PDFs in browser memory with the bundled pdf-lib library. It does not send the selected PDF contents to a FinBizTools server. The resulting file is downloaded to the location controlled by your browser and device. This local-processing design does not protect files from other software, browser extensions or people who can access the device.
Quality and compatibility
Merging generally preserves existing pages rather than re-creating their visual content. Complex forms, signatures, embedded attachments, encryption or unusual PDF features may behave differently. Password-protected or malformed files may be rejected. Always retain the source files and inspect the result before an official submission.

Does merging reduce file size?
Not necessarily. Merging combines documents; compression is a separate operation.
Does merging preserve a digital signature?
Changing a signed PDF can invalidate or alter signature status. Verify signed-document requirements before processing.
Can I choose individual pages?
Prepare page selections with Split PDF first, then merge the resulting files in order.
Prepare documents safely
Work from copies when the source files are important. Check that every selected file belongs in the combined document and remove unnecessary personal or confidential pages. Merging changes the file structure and may affect digital signatures, forms, bookmarks, attachments or other advanced PDF features.
Verify the downloaded result
Open the merged file in a separate viewer. Check the first and last page of each source section, page rotation, readability and total page count. Confirm that the file opens after download and that its size is acceptable for the intended recipient or portal.
Local processing boundaries
FinBizTools performs the merge in browser memory and does not upload the selected PDFs through its implementation. That does not secure the device itself: browser extensions, malware, shared download folders and cloud-synced folders may have their own access. Use a trusted device and handle the downloaded result according to the sensitivity of its contents.
