Salary / Take-Home Salary Calculator
Reconcile CTC, gross salary and take-home using editable annual components.
Private by design · Inputs and downloads stay in your browser
All inputs are annual rupee amounts. CTC is gross pay plus employer costs. Take-home subtracts employee deductions and the tax you enter. Tax is not calculated automatically; 0 TDS means a pre-income-tax estimate. Monthly figures are annual averages.
CTC, gross salary and take-home
CTC is the employer’s annual cost. Gross salary here is basic + HRA + special allowance + bonus. Component CTC is that gross plus employer PF and other employer benefits. Take-home is gross minus employee PF, professional tax, other employee deductions and the estimated tax/TDS you enter.
How to use it
Enter annual rupee amounts for every component. The structure is editable; no universal PF percentage, HRA fraction or state professional-tax rule is assumed. Enter 0 for a component that does not apply. Use the income tax calculator only for its supported year and income scope, then enter a verified tax estimate here if appropriate.
Example
The defaults reconcile ₹12,00,000 CTC to ₹11,42,400 gross salary plus ₹57,600 employer PF. After ₹57,600 employee PF and ₹2,400 professional tax, take-home is ₹10,82,400 annually, or ₹90,200 per month on average, before income tax when TDS is 0.
Reconciliation and monthly pay
An unallocated CTC amount is shown separately and is not automatically added to salary. A negative difference means components exceed entered CTC. Monthly figures distribute the annual bonus evenly; an actual payslip may include different pay dates, reimbursements, gratuity, benefits or deductions.
Frequently asked questions
Why is CTC larger than gross salary?
CTC can include employer PF and benefits that are not paid as cash salary.
Does the tool calculate income tax automatically?
No. Enter an estimated annual TDS amount. Leaving it at 0 gives a pre-income-tax take-home figure.
Why does the monthly average differ from my payslip?
Bonus timing, variable pay, benefits and payroll deductions can vary by month.
