How to use this template
Open the template and go to the ‘Tax Invoice’ tab. Fill in your business particulars and GSTIN in Rows 4–8. Enter your customer’s billing and shipping particulars in Rows 11–14. In cell F9, choose ‘Intra’ for local state supplies (CGST + SGST) or ‘Inter’ for out-of-state supplies (IGST). Detail your items in Rows 18–27; rates, discounts, taxes, and grand totals calculate automatically. Fill in your banking details on Rows 30–33 and print or save as PDF.
Formulas and methodology
Taxable Value = MAX(0, (Quantity × Rate) − LineDiscount). CGST = IF(TaxType = “Intra”, ROUND(TaxableValue × (GSTRate / 200), 2), 0). SGST = IF(TaxType = “Intra”, ROUND(TaxableValue × (GSTRate / 200), 2), 0). IGST = IF(TaxType = “Inter”, ROUND(TaxableValue × (GSTRate / 100), 2), 0). Invoice Grand Total = Total Taxable Value + Total CGST + Total SGST + Total IGST.

Frequently asked questions
Does this template generate an e-invoice with an IRN?
No. This is a general business invoice template. It does not connect to the government e-invoice portal or generate Invoice Reference Numbers (IRN) or signed QR codes.
Can I print this directly on A4 paper?
Yes. The worksheet print area is formatted specifically for ISO A4 portrait printing with balanced margins.
How do I change the currency symbol?
The template is pre-formatted with the Indian Rupee symbol (₹). You can customize cell formatting through Excel’s standard Number Format dialog.
